The available position is based at our Paarl office located in Main Street.


The position offers a remuneration bracket of R20’000 - R35’000 cost to company and is based on the candidate's qualifications and experience so assessed by the company at the company's discretion.

Job Scope

As a valuable member of the team, the candidate will contribute to and support both hardware and software projects. Their primary responsibilities will involve the development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in integrating hardware and software systems, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility. While the main emphasis of the role revolves around hardware and software development and integration with engineering development, the candidate is also expected to assume any other relevant tasks that enhance the team's productivity and ensure the successful execution of projects.

The applicant can expect to participate in any of the following duties and tasks:

  • Engineering [core duties]

    • Integration, testing, and maintenance of systems

    • Collaborate with other engineers on technical and design issues

    • Troubleshoot equipment, performance and functional problems with the embedded systems

    • Research & planning

  • Software [secondary duties]

    • User training and Implementation

    • Testing

    • UI design

    • Frontend development

    • Backend development

  • Electrical Engineering

    • Electrical Metering

    • Photovoltaic

  • Distribution

  • Project calculations and reports

  • Support

    • Provide technical support for field technicians and electricians

    • User training and Implementation

    • Monitor projects, generate reports

Job Requirements

Candidates that do not qualify for all the criteria listed below are still encouraged to apply. Candidates that can demonstrate self-drive, passion for engineering and most importantly the ability to problem solve will be favoured.

Academic qualifications

BEng or BSc (Eng) 4-year degree in

  • Electrical

  • Or Electrical & Electronic

  • or Mechanical


  • Non-commercial experience: The candidate is expected to have at least 4 years of experience designing and assembling electronic-related engineering solutions on either a hobbyist or academic level.

  • Commercial experience: It is expected that the candidate has at least 2 years of experience or completed 2 commercial projects that included solution scoping, development and commissioning.
